Propane Tank Recertification
Stay Compliant. Stay Safe.
Transport Canada requires all refillable propane cylinders, or those storing more than five days’ worth of gas (such as your 100lbs tanks), to be inspected and recertified every ten years. Whether you’re using propane for heating, or food service, regular recertification is essential to ensure your tanks are safe, legal, and ready to use.
We recertify the following tank sizes:
✓ 30 lb cylinders
✓ 40 lb cylinders
✓ 100 lb cylinders
✓ Pig tanks
We do not recommend recertifying your 20 lb BBQ-style cylinders.
We can do it if you prefer but you can save money by bringing it in and exchanging it for a fresh, certified one. We’ll even take care of the disposal of your out-of-date tank.
